Admissions for ND and DN Courses

Introduction; It is essential that both potential students and the UCHMSc get admissions right.

Therefore we have tried to be as detailed as possible about us and our courses, and what we hope they will be able to provide for our graduates in the real world. Students must be mindful that they are going to be able to cope with the rigorous requirements of the UCHMSc and any other external accrediting, registering and licensing bodies.

We also recognise prior learning and achievement in similar subjects and will give credit where it is due, so long as it's valid and authentic. The following are general requirements and should be used as a guide, although not set in stone, as we like to be flexible and accessible to all.

If you can tick some of the following off, then you will probably be prepared for our courses. If you are unsure, you can always seek advice from us before applying. We can counsel you on how to prepare yourself in the best way possible to give yourself the best chances of succeeding.

Academic requirements;

A good standard of both written and verbal English language skills, maths and ITC eg GCSE/High School Diploma/GED. (Grades A-C).

Hold qualifications which contain sciences eg GCSE/ALeve/High School Diploma/GED Physics, Chemistry and Biology. (Grades A-C).

Qualified health professionals may be entitled to advanced entry or recognition of prior learning depending on their qualifications, subject/fields, how long ago they graduated etc.

None academic requirements;

All applicants should understand the basic philosophies of Naturopathy or Naprapathy as a holistic integrated, person-centred natural health care. They must demonstrate a caring, ethical and empathetic attitude towards others. Motivation and dedication towards the scientific study and practice of natural therapies. This can be demonstrated in a number of ways eg previous jobs in customer service, care jobs, and beauty jobs. However, the best way to understand the practice of Naturopathy or Naprapathy is to spend time with a practitioner shadowing them for a few weeks. This understanding can be demonstrated in writing your personal statement upon application.

ALL applicants are assessed on their individual personal and professional merits.

ALL applicants will be interviewed by Zoom before admission.

If you feel that you do not have the required academic background, or you wish to brush up on some subjects before jumping in, you can undertake our 15-week Pre-Med course. Completion of this will automatically secure your place on the next available course enrolment.

Our unique design and operation means that we enrol every 15 weeks or three times a year. So if you miss one intake, you can jump onto the next available intake.

We are here to help guide and support you every step of the way to success.
